Details
Both your names in script, one above the other with an ampersand between them, set inside an oval frame with the wedding date underneath. A bride and groom lean in for a kiss alongside it. That is the difference between this and our plain Mr & Mrs topper: this one carries the two names and the date, so it stops being a generic decoration and becomes the thing you put on the shelf.
The holder is hidden behind the oval frame. It is a socket moulded into the base that grips a standard upright cake fountain, the cone or cylinder sold in the UK as an ice fountain, and keeps it straight through the cake cutting, which is usually the moment every phone in the room is pointing at you. The fountain is not included and we do not sell fireworks. It is designed for the upright type only, never thin handheld sparklers. Have an adult light it, follow the instructions on the firework's own packaging, never leave it burning unattended, and check with the venue first if the cake is being cut indoors.
It is 3D printed to order in PLA, a rigid plant-based plastic, in our two-person studio in Spain. It is about 15 cm (6 in) wide, on a wide flat base that stands securely on a tiered cake or on the dessert table, and the height moves a little with the length of the names. There are ten colours, four of them rainbow blends. Not edible, so it comes off before the cake goes back to the kitchen.
- Enter both names and the date exactly as you want them printed, for example Anna & Marco, 08.08.2026. We copy your text character for character.
- It works just as well for an anniversary or a vow renewal, with the original date on it.
The oval frame is what makes it work the morning after: rinsed off, it reads as a small plaque with your names and your date on it, rather than as leftover cake decoration.
Questions about this topper
Do we get an ice fountain with the topper?
No. The topper has the holder built in; the firework is yours to supply. Use a standard upright cake fountain, sold in the UK as an ice fountain, from a party supplier or supermarket. It slots into the socket in the base. Thin handheld sparklers are not suitable for this holder.
How is this different from the Mr and Mrs topper?
The Mr & Mrs design has no personalisation: a couple holding hands inside a heart-shaped laurel wreath, ready to send. This one is printed with your two names and your date inside an oval frame, so it is made for your wedding specifically and reads as a keepsake afterwards.
How should we write the date?
Exactly as you want it to appear on the topper. Write 08.08.2026, 8th August 2026 or 08/08/26 and that is what we print, character for character. Shorter formats keep the lettering larger and easier to read in photos. Both names and the date go in the same box.
Will our venue let us light a cake fountain indoors?
Ask before the day. Many hotels and barns allow an upright cake fountain at the cake cutting, some do not, and a few need notice. Keep the cake clear of low ceilings, drapes and table decorations, have one person responsible for lighting it, and follow the fountain's own instructions.
Does it keep once the icing is washed off?
Yes. It is rigid printed plastic rather than card or wafer, so it does not soften in the fridge or tear when you lift it off. Wash it in warm soapy water, dry it and stand it on a shelf. It comes back out for every anniversary, which is most of the point.
How early should we order before the wedding?
Earlier than you think. We print to order in 1-3 working days, and tracked delivery from Spain takes 4-7 working days to the UK at EUR 8.95, 3-6 across the EU at EUR 6.95 and 2-4 in Spain at EUR 3.95. Three to four weeks ahead means no panic.
