A Scandinavian Christmas gnome – a tomte – in the classic shape: a big red pointed hat that flops over to the left, with a small white heart and a little sprig on it, pulled down so far that only the round nose shows. Below it a fluffy white beard, and in his arms, held with both hands, a big glossy red heart. Two red feet peek out at the bottom. The white rim, about 2 cm high, follows his outline right into the hat tip.
The heart and the beard form the floor of the dish, and that is where the small things go: rings and earrings, a bracelet, the watch at night, keys, coins, hair clips. In Advent he stands on the table or the sideboard with a few wrapped chocolates; the rest of the year he guards the jewellery on the bedside table.
Because of the heart he works twice a year: as a Christmas present – for Secret Santa, a colleague, an advent calendar – and again in February as a small Valentine's gift, ideally with a ring or a pair of earrings already in it. He measures 15 × 13 cm.

Each dish is 3D-printed to order in PLA, a plant-based bioplastic, in our studio in Spain. The printed floor is then sealed by hand under a layer of clear epoxy resin – that is the glossy, smooth, wipe-clean surface in the photos – and the dish is hand-finished. It arrives empty, exactly as photographed. It is decorative and not food safe: wrapped sweets yes, unwrapped food no. Rinse under running water only – no hot water, no dishwasher, no radiator.

What can I put in it – is it food safe?
Jewellery, keys, coins, hair clips and other small treasures – and sweets or biscuits as long as they are wrapped. The dish is not food safe, so please do not eat from it or put unwrapped food in it. It is a decoration, not a toy for small children.
How is it made – and what is the glossy floor?
The dish is 3D-printed in PLA, a plant-based bioplastic, with the motif printed in several colours into the floor. We then pour a layer of clear epoxy resin over the floor by hand and let it cure. That gives the smooth, glass-like shine in the photos and protects the print underneath.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a soft damp cloth or rinse it under running water and let it dry. No hot water, no dishwasher and no spot on the radiator or in full sun behind glass: PLA softens with heat and the rim could warp.
Is it personalised – and is there anything matching?
