A snowman built from two white balls, with a red pointed hat with a white bobble and white brim, a red scarf whose fringed end blows out to the side, an orange carrot nose, two black eyes, a small smile and three black buttons down his front. From the front it is a flat printed motif with a black outline and a white string to hang it by. On the back, a printed tube, open at the top, that takes a rolled-up banknote.
The snowman is the ornament that does not have to go back in the box after Christmas. A Santa is done on 27 December; a snowman keeps hanging – on a branch in a vase, on a window handle, on the wreath on the door, for as long as it is winter outside. That also makes him right for money gifts that do not fall on the 24th: a birthday in January, New Year, a small thank-you in the cold months. At Christmas he hangs on the tree like the others, of course, with the note in the back.

Each ornament is 3D-printed to order in our studio in Spain in PLA, a rigid plant-based bioplastic, and then hand-finished. The colours are printed in, not painted on.

If the snowman is meant for the Nikolaus boot on 6 December, order in November; the same goes for Christmas Eve. If you only need him in January there is less hurry, but allow the same 14 days. Nothing on it is personalised, so it comes with our 14-day return right like every non-personalised item.

How does the money go in?
On the back there is a printed tube that is open at the top. Roll the note tightly lengthways and slide it in from above; the paper presses against the inside wall and holds itself in place. A bit of the note shows above the tube – that is intended, so you can see something is in there and get hold of it.
Is it only a Christmas ornament?
No, and that is the reason to pick this one. A snowman is a winter figure: he hangs on the tree at Christmas and afterwards just as well on a branch in a vase, on the window or on the door wreath until winter is over. So as money wrapping he works in January and February too – for a birthday, for New Year, for a good school report.
Which notes fit?
Any euro note – rolled up, they are all about the same thickness. The photos show a rolled euro note for scale. A paper voucher rolls up and slides in just the same. A stiff plastic gift card does not fit, the tube is not made for that, and coins are not what it is for.
How do I hang it if there is no tree?
The string is a closed loop – it goes over any twig, hook or window handle. If you are giving it, you can also hang it on the outside of a parcel or on the handle of a gift bag, so it is the gift tag and the money holder at once.
When do I need to order for it to arrive before Christmas?
We print to order: 1–3 working days of printing, then 5–10 business days of tracked delivery to Germany – allow up to 14 days in total. For Nikolaus on 6 December that means ordering by mid-November; for Christmas Eve, by early December, and earlier is better. Shipping is EUR 9.62 per order and free from EUR 70, so several ornaments in one order share the shipping.
